Quentin Tarantino’s WWII epic, Inglourious Basterds, starring Brad Pitt and Mike Myers, is headed to the 2009 Cannes Film Festival in France.

On Thursday, Cannes spies told Variety that the film will make its world premiere at the annual film fest in May.

Inglourious Basterds follows a group of Jewish-American soldiers who embark on a revenge mission againsst Nazi-occupied France.

The full Cannes 2009 lineup will be unveiled on April 23, with the festival running from May 13- 24.

Inglourious Basterds is slated for release in America on August 21.
