“Inception” Trumps “Salt” At Weekend Box Office

2

Angelina Jolie’s new spy thriller Salt failed to take the North American box office crown from Leonardo DiCaprio’s Inception.

Inception remained the No. 1 movie for the second-straight weekend, earning $43.5 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Warner Bros. thriller featuring DiCaprio as leader of a team that sneaks into people’s dreams raised its 10-day total to $143.7 million.

Angie’s spy caper debuted No. 2 with $36.5 million. The movie stars the mom-of-millions as a CIA operative who goes rogue after she’s accused of being a Russian sleeper agent.

Rounding out the Top 3 was Steve Carell’s animated family hit Despicable Me. The film raised its domestic total to $161.7 million.

I find Angelina Jolie a good actress who is hard to watch. Her arms are so skinny…she looks too thin to take seriously as an actor…like she will break into pieces any minute. Maybe if there’s a remake of Wizard of OZ, she can play the scarecrow. :-D
