Doctors have confirmed that a possibly pregnant Christina Aguilera has a viral upper respiratory tract infection with a high fever and abnormal coughing and will have to cancel the last two shows on the Australian leg of her ‘Back 2 Basics’ tour after being relegated to complete bed rest.

Christina Aguilera asked for the following message to be passed onto fans.

“I want to personally apologize to all of my fans for having to cancel my last two shows here in Melbourne. Unfortunately, I have fallen ill with a bad flu virus. This is one of the best cities in the world to perform in and I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all. Thank you for all of the continued love and support and I hope to perform for you all again next time.”

Christina’s record producer hubby Jordan Bratman has urged the expectant star to slow down her touring before the impending birth of the couple’s first child.
