Humane Society Of The United States Blasts Britney Spears Purchase Of Yorkie Pup London
The Humane Society of the United States is blasting Britney Spears’ thirty minute trip to a California pet boutique that resulted in the purchase of London, a $3,000 Yorkshire Terrier puppy.

“Ms. Spears is setting a damaging example to the public,” says Stephanie Shain, HSUS director of outreach for companion animals. “Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills — factory-like facilities, churning out purebred and ‘designer’ puppies in large numbers.”
What’s more? The HSUS is “concerned that Ms. Spears took little time to choose the right dog.” She explains, “Choosing a dog is a major lifestyle decision that should not be taken lightly.”
