Hugh Jackman “Heartbroken” By “Wolverine” Leak
Hugh Jackman says he is “heartbroken” about the recent Web leak of his upcoming superhero blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which opens next month.
The movie, which focuses on the beginnings of Jackman’s clawed Marvel superhero Wolverine, is not scheduled for release in the U.S. until May 1, but a work print of the film began appearing online last week. The FBI and Motion Picture Association of America are investigating the security breach.
“It’s a serious crime and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing — I was heartbroken by it,” Jackman told reporters on Tuesday. “Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
The Australian actor still believes fans will flock to theaters to see the film and he’s confident that the culprit will be caught. “The FBI are onto it and they’re taking it very, very seriously.”
