How Many People Watched The Michael Jackson Memorial?
Michael Jackson’s televised memorial service, live from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, was watched by millions of people on Tuesday –and even more watched online, according to The Associated Press.
Thirty-one million people turned on their television sets to watch the world say goodbye to the man known as the King of Pop.
The audience fell short of the America viewing audience for Princess Diana’s 1997 funeral, which was watched by 33.2 million people and retains the record for the most watched memorial in the history of television.

No, the 31 milliion doesn’t include online streams. Michael, with online streams included, had way more views then Princess Diana. Not to mention cell phones and all the other technology we have now.
