Akron Watson, a contestant from Dallas who auditioned for the hit talent series with his robust and non-singing cousin, has been kicked off of A.I in possible connection with an arrest in April 2003 on charges of misdemenor marijuana possession.

Two days before Akron was scheduled to leave for Hollywood, he received a call saying that he would not be competing anymore “for unknown reasons.” A.I producers have no comment.

In other news, “weird facial expression girl” Ashlyn Carr was arrested in August for pouring sugar into the gas tank of her ex-boyfriend’s car while she was attending college at Sam Houston State University.

She confessed to the crime upon police questioning.
