Wow, you've got to be joking. IU smarter than Purdue? Please, do the research Jessy suggests, and find for yourself that Purdue is the smarter of the two by far.

Purdue ranks far higher in program quality and student intellect. Indiana has a great business school, but the other majors are barely accredited and are distinctly under par. Indiana is well known for deflating graduation criteria and indices to allow more students to graduate and to allow more high school students to be admitted. The College rankings provided by private institutions like USNews and World report and the Stanford review base their rankings on polled information from the schools; Indiana sends only their business school information and carefully prunes the numbers that are sent to these agencies by creating lots of “sub-majors.” When the numbers are sent out, it is of the top students and the numbers are massaged. The results are a large number of students attending IU, but then requiring post graduate work to enter the work force. It’s a school devoted strictly to maintaining its image while providing very little to student. I should know, I was on the Indiana State Review Board for Academic Institutions and IU consistently sent us misinformation that when verified was thrown out and re-polled.

Purdue is a school that reports all its numbers. Though there are many programs at Purdue that are only partly accredited (undergraduate business, undergraduate economics, communications, OLS) the school reports these and they are considered into the ratings. As a result, Purdue seems to rank poorly in overall standings, but less than 5% of the schools population attends colleges with less than a 95 point accreditation. Purdue also does not manicure the figures of their students and as a result they are highly undervalued by the rankings. The first choice placement rating at Purdue (Students working at their first choice firm or industry) is the third highest in the nation behind MIT (which over 50% of the students first choice is either NASA or the USG), and Harvard which places mostly in small private firms. Purdue is ranked highest among the ASME, the IEEE, and the IAE as the most complete engineering education. I will admit, sadly, I did my undergrad work at IU, but I did my grad work at Purdue!

Do Sheep count as girls anywhere but Purdue?

Purdue students are not smarter than IU students, although Purdue students like to think so.

IU has hotter girls, a nicer campus, and just as good if not better academic status.
