Hospital May Not Release Octuplets To Nadya Suleman
Maybe that $1 million porn contract wasn’t such a bad offer after all.
Nadya Suleman is worried she may not be allowed to bring her octuplets home, according to television’s Dr. Phil. Suleman claims officials at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center will not release the babies to her until she provides proof that she is able to care for them.
That could prove a difficult feat since Nadya does not have a job and is relying on government assistance, including food stamps and disability income, to support her brood of fourteen.
In addition, the 33-year-old lives in her mother’s three-bedrooom home in Whittier, California; albeit not for long. The home is in pre-foreclosure for more than $23,000 in backed-up mortgage payments and set to be auctioned off on March 5.
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Dr. Phil revealed that Nadya called him in distress after speaking with hospital administrators on Tuesday afternoon.
“What she is telling me is that unless and until she has a better living arrangement, that they are not likely to release the children to her.”
Nadya Suleman has taped two episodes of The Dr. Phil Show, the first of which is scheduled to air today with Part II of the interview following up on Thursday.
