Hollywood Studios Ban Twitter; Industry Execs Tell Stars To Quit Tweeting
Hollywood film stars, including Shrek’s Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, are being banned from using Twitter because industry bosses fear “Tweets” are damaging the industry by revealing too much preliminary information about upcoming film projects.

“This is just the beginning,” a talent lawyer tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Hollywood has a long history of controlling what talent says in the media. This is just a new area of media that hasn’t been controlled yet.”
Word is Disney has included a new clause in its contracts forbidding confidentiality breaches via “interactive media such as Facebook, Twitter, or any other interactive social network or personal blog.”
