Fans who lined up to catch John Mayer in concert at Dodge Music Center were disappointed Saturday night. Event organizers decided that Sheryl Crow and opening act Mat Kearney would perform with Mayer. The problem? Laryngitis.

With such hits including “Your Body is a Wonderland” and “Daughters,” Mayer has won over countless fans with his melodic vocals and heart wrenching lyrics.

“John feels terrible about the cancellation and he will plan to be back in Connecticut soon,” a press release stated about the event.
