Hilary Duff will join the cast of Gossip Girl for a multi-episode guest arc when the teen dramedy returns to The CW for a third season this fall.

The 21-year-old Lizzie McGuire album will be playing a girl named Olivia Burke, Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) new roommate at New York University.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Olivia is a world-famous movie star enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience.

Hilary makes her Gossip Girl debut on next season’s fourth episode, airing October 5 on The CW.
