The CW is pulling the plug on High Society — a reality soap starring New York City socialite Tinsley Mortimer — after just one season.

Network chiefs have decided to axe the show after a combination of disappointing ratings and complaints from Mortimer and her mother and sister Dale and Dabney — who also appeared on the series — about the way the trio were portrayed during season one of High Society.

A well-placed tattle squeals to The New York Post: “Tinsley was told she would have some editorial control, but she was horrified to find she had none and was being put in situations where people were manipulated to act in a certain way. She wasn’t happy with the way it came out.”

Tinsley is working on a pitch for a new reality show with the network.
