“High School Musical 4: The College Years”

Disney is toying with the idea of adding a fourth film to the internationally-popular High School Musical movie franchise. The network is prepared to offerd young stars and real-life couple Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron a major payday if they will agree to reprise the roles of Gabriella and Troy in High School Musical 4: The College Years. The proposed flick will chronicle the characters’ freshman year of college.

According to the National Enquirer, the lovebirds attend different universities, start pining and whining for each other and finally reunite at (SURPRISE!) the old High School – triggering tons of already-filmed flashback scenes that’ll help keep the budget down.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year opens in theaters this October.

I have to say, I went out this past weekend to see HSM 3 and I enjoyed it. I thought the music was great, the dancing was really amazing and I thought the third was definately the best (so far…) *SPOILER ALERT HERE* While watching the movie, when Gabriella had said she wouldn’t be returning to high school for her prom I almost cried. Just the thought that this huge hit of movies may have really been coming to an end was really sad. I think though if they are going to make a fourth installment instead of “The College Years” it should be like “The Reunion”, where we all get to just say good-bye to East High together. It is almost as if through this entire story line from the first movie to the third, we all (the viewers) grew with the cast, and sort of knew exactly what was going on. I think a fourth movie would be great! If this is going to happen though then they definatly have to bring back Zac, and Vanessa, and the entire crew otherwise the movie would be a failure. I would totally go out and see HSM 4 if and when it comes out. Good job Disney!!!

I haven’t seen HSM 3 yet ,but i would like to see it. The 1st time I watched HSM 1 and 2 I loved it, but it got boring very quickly. I have the DVD’s and i never watch them. I believe that if disney were to do another high school musical, honestly they’re pushing it.. already there were quite a few bad critics on the last one, i do think that it is great for the younger generation, and i do think that if they were to do a 4th one that they should include the same characters/actors.. otherwise they will not get a good response from the viewers.
