Helen “The Biggest Loser: Couples” Winner
Helen Phillips, a 48-year-old mother of three, nudged out Mike Morelli (at 18 the youngest player in the show’s history) and former model Tara Costa on the live Holllywood finale of The Biggest Loser: Couples.
Helen won the title of “Biggest Loser” and the $250,000 grand prize by losing the highest percentage of starting body-weight.
Helen who entered the competition at 257 pounds, shed 140 to finish out at 117 pounds — cutting 54.47% of her weight. Mike lost 53.35% of his beginning weight, 388 pounds, and ended up at a healthy 181 pounds. At the start of the competition, Tara was tipping the scales at 294 pounds, she’s now feeling good at 139 pounds.
Jerry, who at 64 was the oldest contestant to ever compete on the show, became the show’s At Home Winner, earning $100,00, despite going home in Week 2.

Hope you’re happy with your money, Helen, cuz you walked all over your daughter to get it!!! You can deny til you’re blue in the face, that it was Shannon’s decision to go home. We all saw what really happened. You’re a bully, and YOU decided that YOU were gonna stay, and Shannon just went along with it. What other choice did she have? Ron wouldn’t have considered staying, and sending Mike home! Kathy WENT home, and let Kristen stay! See where I’m going with this??? I doubt it, cuz you’re so full of yourself that you’ll always believe you did the right thing by SENDING your daughter home! LOSER!!!
