Daytime fans will be thrilled to learn that soap staple Heather Tom is the latest screen star to join the celebrity guest brigade on Ugly Betty.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello: “She’ll play a State Department liaison to Daniel’s long-lost son in at least three episodes. I’m going to venture a guess that Daniel Sr. will want to, ahem, liaise with her as well.”

Heather won an Emmy for her role as the original “Victoria Newman” on The Young & The Restless.
