Heath Ledger Oscar Nomination On First Anniversary Of Death
Heath Ledger has received a posthumous Oscar nomination on the first anniversary of his death.
The late star will battle Josh Brolin (Milk), Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder); Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Doubt) and Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) for the Best Supporting Actor trophy for his role as “The Joker” in 2008’s Summer blockbuster The Dark Knight. He won a Golden Globe for his performannce earlier this month.
Heath, 28, died of a prescription drug overdose at his NYC apartment on January 22, 2008.
