Amidst rumors that Heath Ledger may have died of a sleeping pill overdose, at least one of the actor’s friends regrets not heeding his recent complaints of isomnia.

“I talked to him briefly several weeks ago, and he just said something about how he was having trouble sleeping,” an insider spills to E! correspondent Tina Dirmann.

“Now, to hear all this news of him maybe overdosing on sleeping pills accidentally, I can’t get that out of my head.”

The Associated Press is reporting that six different types of prescription drugs, including the sedative Ambien, were found in Heath Ledger’s New York apartment.

“He’s talked about having insomnia before, but it always just seemed like something caused by run-of-the mill work stress. And maybe stuff with his breakup with Michelle awhile back. He could be kind of a reflective, pensive guy, generally.”
