We Hear Erin Andrews Is the New Co-Host of “Dancing with the Stars”
That took all of five minutes…
Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) co-host, according to multiple news reports Sunday. As you may recall, Dancing With the Stars producers dumped longtime co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet just last Friday.
The former DWTS champ was with the show for seven seasons and seemed blindsided by the shakeup.
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture…I’ve always been one to embrace change and [I’m] looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake.”
Andrews, 35, was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in 2010. She finished in third place, behind singer Nicole Scherzinger and figure skater Anna Trebunskya.
The FOX Sports aficionado will take over as Tom Bergeron’s co-pilot when Season 18 of DWTS premieres on ABC March 17.
