HBO is hoping a weekly dose of self-praising and unprovoked temper tantrums will translate into a ratings winner the network is presently in talks to present an unscripted series on the life of Grammy Award-winning rapper Kanye West.

According to Entertainment Weekly: Long before the writers’ strike began last November, the network began discussing a yet-to-be-named, single-camera series that would follow the busy life of the Grammy-winning artist and his relationship with family and friends….

The only thing standing between Kanye and his own HBO reality series is the hunt for the ideal writer.

“We need to figure out how to capture Kanye in the right way,” says the EW source, who adds HBO is waiting for the right creative inspiration before proceeding with taping on the show.
