Hayden Panettiere is in talks to star in teen comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper. Beth Cooper is based on the book by former Simpsons writer Larry Doyle. Beth becomes embroiled in a series of mishaps after a geeky student proclaims his love for her during his graduation speech. Chris Columbus is attached to direct and produce the project, which is set to begin shooting this Spring. It would Hayden’s first lead role.

The eighteen year old beauty, who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet on the hit NBC show Heroes, will also take the role of a cheerleader in film.
