The world is still enchanted by the magical fantasyland of Harry Potter. After a two-year break, the boy wizard and his pals stormed the box office Tuesday night. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince raked in the biggest midnight gross of all time, earning $22.2 million at the box office, according to early estimate from Warner Bros.

The film — the sixth in the beloved franchise — beat out previous record holders, The Dark Knight and Star Wars: Episode III, which earned midnight grosses of $18 and $17 million, respectively.

Half-Blood Prince raked in $10 million more from midnight screenings than the last Harry Potter feature, The Order of the Phoenix, which opened in the summer of 2007.

Who’s seen the movie already? Is it any good? Let us know.

It was quite great & funny but the end was a little bit disappointing because not as faithful to the book. – i’m specially talking here about the confrontation btw Snape and Harry that never really happened…!

It was good for someone who hasnt read the book, I have never fancied the books but I enjoy the movies, but my sister said it left out a lot, and she has read the books but she also thought it was amazing and halarious!

The film is great!!!! The best of the lot, less blockbuster and more proper grown up movie. Very dark and with some very great performances from some of the actors!!!

the cinema I went had 9 consecutive sold out show, can’t wait to go and see it again!!!

And the part that are not similar to the book are making the movie more interesting.
