Grace And Frankie boasts one of the greatest casts in the history of television, and the fact that it is on Netflix certainly says something about the streaming network. The series was announced months ago, but without a trailer, it has yet to gain the buzz that it most certainly deserves.
Until this year, Netflix had yet to release a 30 minute comedy, but they are quickly getting to work to remedy that and have already had success with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the comedy starring Ellie Kemper, from producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
The new series Grace and Frankie follows two women, played by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, after their husbands to decide to leave each of them and declare their love for each other.
In addition to Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, Grace And Frankie stars veteran actors Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson as their husbands. The two couples are shown out at dinner in the trailer, when Robert (Sheen) and Sol (Waterson) tell their wives that they are gay and plan to get married to each other.
It will be great for older fans especially to see Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin reunited after all these years following their individual successes after starring in 9 to 5 together. However, one look at the trailer for the series should excite audiences of any age and it is will surely be a hit.
In case you had any curiosity about just how much fun the two of them get to have on the show, look no further.
It makes for quite a predicament for the two couples, and with such an excellent cast, fans can only expect great things when the series becomes available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Grace and Frankie forge a new bond with each other after their husbands leave them, but not before experiencing seven dramatic stages of change first: shock, denial, anger, guilt, meditation, medication, and relief.
Grace And Frankie, in addition to having four Emmy winning actors, is created by Friends‘ co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris from Home Improvement. All 13 episodes will be available to stream on May 8th.
