“Gossip Girl” Too Explicit For New Zealand Primetime TV

Gossip Girl is too racy for New Zealand TV. The show will move to a later timeslot on New Zealand’s TV2 September 26 due to explicit content.
The hit CW series, which chronicles the wild days and nights of students at an elite Manhattan private school, will move from its 8.30pm Friday night timeslot to 10.30pm.
“As the series progressed we felt the content made Gossip Girl more appropriate for a later time slot,” TVNZ spokesperson Justine Caldwell said in a statement Monday.
