“Gossip Girl” Feud: “Gossip Girl” Feud On-Set
There may not be as much acting going on on the set of The CW’s runaway hit Gossip Girl as originally thought. New reports fresh from the Snitch Mill claim the behind-the-scenes tension is thick enough to cut with a knife, with the stars of the show about a group of prep school teenagers in Manhattan routinely throwing sharp insults at one another.
….There’s no love lost between cast members Leighton Meester (who plays Blair), Chace Crawford (Nate) and Blake Lively (Serena) — at least the last time they were together working before the writers strike.
“At times it was so ugly, people only would talk to each other when they had to — delivering lines in a scene. What’s funny … when they would be throwing really bitchy lines at each other — it was often things [the actors] really thought about each other,” says a celebrity spy.
“They all put on a good front — pretending to be so buddy-buddy whenever they’re doing press — but trust me, once they don’t think anyone’s listening, they really let fly with some nasty stuff.”
