Goldie Hawn’s wants to bring a little “SexyBack” into the life of her divorced daughter, actress Kate Hudson.

The 63-year-old comedy legend was overjoyed when actor Owen Wilson was noticeably absent from the 30th birthday bash for his on-again/off-again girlfriend, Kate, in Pacific Palisades last week –because no Owen meant Goldie had plenty of time to create some chemistry between her Kate and singer Justin Timberlake.

“Goldie never thought Owen was right for Kate and is desperate for her to hook up with Justin.”

That’s right, blabbing spies tell The Globe that actress Goldie Hawn has appointed herself professional matchmaker for Kate and Justin….Too bad J.T.’s already dating actress Jessica Biel.

“Goldie thinks Owen is nice enough guy, but his mood swings and shocking suicide attempt turned her off,” says a Globe tipster. “She wants Kate to be in a healthy relationship for herself and her 5-year-old son Ryder and she thinks Justin would be a perfect match.”

A second source agrees, “Justin and Kate have had a close friendship for a couple of years. Now Goldie hopes it will develop into something more.”

Although Justin was photographed putting on a very pubic display of spit-swapping with his girlfriend Jessica during a Los Angeles Lakers game just four days after Kate’s party, insiders say whether or not Goldie’s hopes of a Timberlake-Hudson union will be realized is anyone’s guess.

“Kate was flirting up a storm with Justin. They’re definitely into each other. But he’s involved with Jessica, so who knows if anything serious will come of it.”
