Gnarls Barkley “Run” Music Video Banned: Gnarls Barkley Video Harding Test Failure
“Run,” the new music video from music duo Gnarls Barkley, has been baned from television. “Run” was deemd to hot for the airwaves after the video failed the Harding Test, which monitors strobe effects that trigger epileptic seizures.
The video’s plot features a fictional television show set in the 1990’s, which is hosted by Justin Timberlake and features Gnarls Barkley as guest performers.
“I don’t know exactly what’s going on, but we’re having issues,” Danger Mouse told Billboard Magazine. “I think [the video] is cool. It works for me. But I’m not necessarily that easily seasick. We can’t predict how people are going to interpret it.”
Run’s director will be glad to edit it so that the video meets guidelines established to prevent TV images from disturbing epileptic viewers, the group says.
Gnarls Barkley sophomore LP, The Odd Couple, will be released on April 8th.
