Girl Hospitalized After Fight Over Robert Pattinson Poster
Robert Pattinson’s dashing looks almost turned deadly for one British teen, who had to be hospitalized last weekend after scrapping with another girl over a poster of the Twilight actor.

The fan was one of 300 competition winners who won tickets to the world premiere of the new Pattinson fan DVD Robsessed, London’s HeatWorld said this week. Free Pattinson posters were distributed at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, where the event took place last Sunday. But trouble quickly followed when two girls went to war over the final poster of their beloved heartthrob.
“A massive fight broke out between two girls over the last poster” says eyewitness Precious Acabousi, a 19-year-old from Surrey, who was at the premiere. “There was a lot of pushing and shoving, everyone was crowding around them. I heard gasps as one of the girls fell on the floor, she was in terrible pain and had twisted her arm – she was screaming for help. The poster had been ripped in two”
The injured girl had to be transported to the emergency room by ambulance and missed the screening.
A spokesman for the DVD insist event organizers did everything by the book; he blames the bloody brawl on overzealous TwiHards who snatched up more than the allotted one poster per fan.
“The Robert Pattinson fans, also known as the Robesessed, are the most hardcore of fanatics. We had plenty of posters printed, but obviously some people picked up more than others, and so the fight broke out,” the spokesman remarked as a matter-of-fact.
The actor reprises his big screen breakout role as vampire Edward Cullen this week in New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight Trilogy.

The organizers should have been able to foresee that the girls would take more than one poster each, given the opportunity.
