Giant Crack In Africa May Create New Ocean, Researchers Say
A 35-mile rift in the desert of Ethiopia will likely eventually spawn a new ocean, according to a new study published in the latest issue of Geophysical Research Letters.
The crack, which is 20 feet wide in some spots, opened in 2005.
