The upcoming fifth season of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s sci-fi drama Ghost Whisperer will leap five years into the future, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The series’ fourth season finale ended with Melinda discovering that her child would have psychic abilities even more powerful than her own. Producers of the CBS Friday night series are reportedly considering moving the story forward several years to show Melinda (Love Hewitt) and Jim’s (David Conrad) new son as a small child.
