Ghost Whisperer has been given a new lifeline on ABC. The supernatural television drama — which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as a woman who can communicate with the dead — has been picked up by The Alphabet Network after it was axed from CBS fall lineup as part of a sweeping revamp by network chiefs, according to new reports.

Ghost Whisperer premiered in 2005 and has been a ratings winner in the usually ill-rated Friday night 8PM-9PM timeslot.
