George Lucas confirms Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill

Without fanfare and publicity…..George Lucas confirms that the original Star Wars stars will appear in the upcoming film.

“We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison—or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, ‘Look, this is what’s going on.’ ” George said. “Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do.”

Even though the creator of the Star Wars franchise won’t be directing the next installment of the series, he says that he has been involved in the process of this new film, even attending a few of the story board meetings. “I mostly say, ‘You can’t do this. You can do that,’ ” Lucas says. “You know, ‘The cars don’t have wheels. They fly with antigravity.’ There’s a million little pieces. Or I can say, ‘He doesn’t have the power to do that, or he has to do this.’ I know all that stuff.”
