Sorry “Dr. Ross” Fans, George Clooney is never coming back to the ER-no matter how much desperate NBC producers beg.

ER bosses were “optimistic” they could convince George, who shot to fame playing “Dr. Doug Ross” on the Thursday night medical drama in the ’90s, to appear for one last hoorah as the show tapes its 15th and final season this Fall, but alas it was not meant to be.

George’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, has made it very clear that the Ocean’s Eleven star isn’t interested in taking any strolls down memory lane: “He is on record as saying he is not coming back. It is something he has already done. He is busy making movies.”

Talk about forgetting your roots.
