George Clooney is returning to the show that launched his career. Clooney will spend the rest of this week filming scenes for a guest appearance on one of the final episodes the long-running NBC medical drama ER.

The Oscar-nominated actor rose to fame playing “Dr. Doug Ross” on the show beginning in 1994.

In 1999, George left the cast of ER to pursue his film career full-time.

The final episode of ER will air Thursday night, April 2.
