George Clooney Calls Paris Hilton “Cheap and Talentless”

Somebody get George Clooney an Oscar. The veteran actor and “Ocean’s Thirteen” recently sounded off on the heiress’ recent legal troubles, accusing her of using “cheap tricks” to maintain her inexplainable celebrity status.

“You can only get so far without discernable talent – then you either work, or use cheap publicity tricks to keep the public’s attention,” George fumed.

“Paris has no reason to complain if she is on the end of bad publicity.”

I completely disagreed with Clooney’s politics but I’ve respected him because he’s always given his reason in a thoughtful manner. He always seemed to be a guy I could have a reasonable conversation about politics with at Paneras. Now I read this and I have a whole new respect for him.

With that single statement I now see Clooney as a completely real person, not a Hollywood shell. He has value I can identify with. George is someone I could site down with at the local dinner and chat about life and family issues, not just politics.
