Comedian George Carlin died of heart failure late Sunday. He was seventy-one.


The cutting-edge comic, made famous for his routine the “Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV,” died at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains, his spokesman Jeff Abraham told the Associated Press
