Gary Coleman’s young widow (the same woman with a history of domestic violence against the pint-sized star) raised the ire of conspirarcy theorists last Friday, when she removed the former child star from life support after he fell in the couple’s Utah home and suffered a fatal intracranial hemmorhage. Now Shannon Price is facing serious questions over reports that she may not be Gary’s wife after all — and therefore may not have had the right to remove the Diff’rent Strokes star from the machines that were keeping him alive.
“Some people have raised the issue that they saw Gary and Shannon on Divorce Court and now there’s some questions about whether or not they were married at the time of the death and whether [Shannon] had the authority to pull the plug at the hospital,” Coleman’s attorney Randy Kester said Wednesday. The troubled pair – who secretly wed in 2007 after meeting on the set of Church Ball the year before – appeared before Judge Lynn Toler on the daytime court show in 2008.
Gary and Shannon later reconciled — and were even working on opening their own dog breeding business, but Kester is concerned by whispers that the twosome may have secretly divorced.
“Some people in the public are raising issues whether she had authority to do that and if she has authority to be making funeral arrangements, and exactly where she fits into his estate. I think there’s going to be some developing controversy about some issues of authority….Everyone is out there searching for a will, and I haven’t seen one yet.”
Gary’s long estranged parents, Willie and Sue, have called on Shannon to provide “additional details” about how their son died.
We wonder what will happen to Shannon once they figure it all out?
