Garth Brooks Suing Hospital For Return Of Half Million Dollar Donation
Country legend Garth Brooks is suing a hospital in his hometown of Oklahoma City as part of a $500,000 breach of contract suit.
Brooks wants Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital to return his half a million dollar donation.
The star donated the dough to the hospital in suburban Yukon, Oklahoma in 2005, according to KOKH in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Garth says the hospital promised the cash would be earmarked for a commemorative building named after his late mother, Colleen, who died of cancer in 1999.

Nearly five years later, there’s still no Colleen Brooks Cancer Center on the grounds of Intergris Canadian Valley — though the hospital campus has undergone $27 million in renovations — and Garth wants his money back. The building was never built.
“Mr. Brooks has nothing to add to the petition. This deals with his mother, the home town and the people he grew up with and is deeply personal,” says his spokeswoman Nancy Seltzer.
