The reigning Women’s All-Around Champion, Gabby Douglas, is letting us know right now that she will be in Rio to represent our country and defender her Gold Medals.
Gabby, the 16-year old, who captivated a nation during the London Games, is set to return to Rio in 4-years. Gabby appeared with Rev. Al Sharpton, promoting her new novel, “Grace, Gold and Glory.” The teenager opens up in her book about growing up dealing with homelessness, racism, and bullying.
Gabby says she plans to try for a spot on the U.S. gymnastics team in 2016 for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. She says she’s looking forward to getting back into training soon to learn new skills and take her talents to the next level.
