NBC is keep the lights burning on a beloved football drama.
Friday Night Lights will be back on the line-up for next season, executive producer Jason Katims told the Associated Press on Monday. The series has been renewed for two more 13-episode runs and will be on the air through the 2010-2011 season.
The Emmy-winning series about a Texas town and its high school football team will air on DirecTV in the fall prior to returning to its normal spot on NBC, the Associated Press reports.
“Not only do we know the show is staying on, but we know exactly how many episodes we are going to do. We’ll be able to think about where we might want to lead to … what kind of stories we want to tell.”
