Move ovah, Oprah! Forbes magazine has named Jennifer Lopez Hollywood’s Top Banana. The American Idol pundit edged out the Queen of Talk to earn the top spot in the Financial Bible’s annual ranking of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities in the World.
Jenny from the Bronx also managed to knock Lady Gaga off the top spot of the Celebrity 100 list, moving up 49 places from No. 50 in the 2011 ranking. Jennifer’s raised profile can be attributed not only to her Idol gig but also a host of lucrative endorsement deals with cosmetics brands like L’oreal and Gillette.
The soon-to-be three-time divorcee reportedly notched a staggering $52 million in income over the past year. Jennifer’s fame got a mayjuh boost from her 23,000 press mentions, appearances on 46 major magazine covers and Glamour magazine’s Woman of the Year honor.
The Celebrity 100 is based on income over a 12 month period and fame. The latter is determined by media presence on social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
