First Lady Michelle Obama Sets Jumping Jacks World Record
First Lady Michelle Obama has broken the world record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period.
Her goal was to lead some 400 elementary and middle-school students from the capitol in a jumping jacks jump off on the South Lawn of the White House. The event, which took place Oct. 11 and 12 as part of the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative, was organized by National Geographic Kids magazine, this being the publication’s fifth Guinness World Record.
The old record was a mere 20,000 people.
