Fewer Goodies for Golden Globes

If there’s one thing celebrities love, it’s FREE STUFF. Unfortunately, the days of fully-loaded “goodie bags” might be a thing of the past, starting with this year’s Golden Globes, after the IRS said it was looking into treating gift bags as taxable income. No one will be taking home over $20,000 in loot like last year, according to Variety — more like a paltry $600 worth. Worse, next year presenters will get NADA from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which runs the Globes. Still, “gift suites” — temporary boutiques where stars can visit over the weekend and paw through the merchandise — will still be there to satisfy that “swag tooth.”
Among the sames already announced as presenters are Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel and Renee Zellweger.
