Fergie White House Easter Egg Roll Performance Not Age Appropriate
BEP recording artist Fergie brought down The White House during a lively set at Monday’s annual Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn, but some fans in attendance fear the “Big Girls Don’t Cry” star may have forgotten that she was performing for hundreds of impressionable young children as opposed to her usual crowd of drunken twentysomethings.
Dressed in a short white layered dress, Ferg was the headlining act at this year’s family event. And while the United States Marine Band played kiddie-friendly hits like “Pop Goes The Weasel” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” Fergie broke into a string of hits that left some adults raising their eyebrows.
The Washington Examiner writes: ….She introduced the track “Clumsy” – a song about falling in love with “all the wrong boys.” Being that most of the girls were less than 10 years old, her message probably fell on deaf ears….But it wasn’t until she began singing “Glamorous” that the parents present might have understand why her album The Duchess comes with a Parental Advisory label slapped on the front……
The song’s repetition of the line “If you ain’t got no money take your ass broke” made a few parents cringe. She did of course edit the curse world from the song Monday – but some crowd members helpfully filled it in for her…
