DCFS was alerted after Jackson’s live-in physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, gave Emergency Room personnel at UCLA Medical Center a list of medications his patient had been taking, according to Access Hollywood. The investigation is expected to take a month but could be extended, depending on the results of toxicology tests done as part of Michael Jackson’s autopsy, Access reports.

After their dad’s death, the children were taken to the Jackson Family Compound in Encino, California, where they are under the care of their paternal grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and other members of the Jackson Family.

The investigation, which falls under a category known as Caretaker Absence or Incapacity, involves talking with the children about their life and finding out their exposure, if any, to the alleged drug use that went on in the house.

The investigators will also look into the conditions at the Jackson’s Encino house, such as who would care for the kids if Katherine were not available.

Michael Jackson stated in his will, which was made public last week, that he wanted his mother to have custody of his children if anything should happen to him. At her death, he stipulated that his longtime friend Diana Ross should take on parental duties.

Ashton and Demi could soon have something major to Tweet about.

Hollywood’s favorite May/December lovers are reportedly considering adoption, and longtime pal Madonna is hoping the couple will follow her lead and welcome a child from the African nation of Malawi — where Madonna’s son and daughter, David and Mercy, hail from.

A insider tells InTouch Weekly: “Madonna has apparently been trying to get Demi and Ashton to adopt ever since she adopted her son David. She has been very enthusiastic about it.”

Demi, 46, married 31-year-old Ashton nearly five years ago. The Ghost actress has three teen daughters with former husband Bruce Willis.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her high-end clothing line is receiving some harsh criticism from French designer Christian Audigier.

“I like her, she is a nice girl, but she is not completely my style. I have seen some of her designs - they are very simple. It’s difficult for an artist or a singer to enter into the world of fashion,” Audigier explains.

Audigier, who is the brains behind top-selling lines like Von Dutch, Diesel, and Ed Hardy, feels that Victoria is in a difficult position to market her line because she has no formal fashion training.

Michael Jackson wanted to adopt Octomom Nadya Suleman’s world-famous octuplets, according to the serial mom’s former publicist.

Victor Munoz, 33, claims he was contacted by the legendary singer and his aides at the end of February with an offer to “buy” the babies from the unemployed and single Suleman.

“When Michael called I thought it was a joke at first,” he explains. “I was getting hundreds of calls every day and many from celebrities’ agents saying their client wanted to help.”

Victor continues, “But when the person on the end of the line said “Hi it’s Michael Jackson” I was a bit taken aback. Michael wanted to know how the babies were, how Nadya was coping.”

“He then said he could take care of the children if Nadya couldn’t. It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked.”

Victor stopped working for Nadya, 33, on March 6, but claims he never took Michael’s alleged offer seriously.

“I just blew it off. I knew Nadya would never want to get rid of her kids so it wasn’t important.”

Michael is survived by his children Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7.

Cash-strapped Courtney Love has allegedly trashed her second high-end hotel room this year.

According to The New York Post, the former Hole rocker — who was recently diagnosed with malnutrition — wrecked her suite while the visiting her 16-year-old daughter Frances Bean in New York City on June 17.

Hit hard by the death of her good pal Michael Jackson just one week ago, Madonna paid tribute to the late King of Pop during a show at London’s O2 arena on Saturday night — the same venue the late King of Pop was set to stage his comeback with a live show in just nine days.

According to The Associated Press, a picture of a young Michael appeared on stage while Madonna was performing “Holiday.” During the tribute number, a dancer dressed as the King of Pop came on stage in MJ’s signature black pants, a sparkly jacket, white socks, and a single white glove.

Madonna and Michael famously attended the Academy Awards together in 1991.
