Too Fat to Fly? “The Blind Side” Actor Quinton Aaron Booted Off American Airlines Flight

Standing 6 foot 8 inches tall and tipping the scales at 550 pounds, Quinton Aaron’s sizable frame was an asset that help him land a role as Baltimore Ravens star Michael Oher in The Blind Side. The 2010 true life drama won Sandra Bullock an Academy Award and drew attention to a then-unknown Aaron’s acting chops.

Of course, being a teddy bear has it’s disadvantages, too.

Like being told that you’re too large to fly American Airlines.

The 29-year-old was left shamefaced after he was told he’d have to purchase two economy seats to board a connecting flight between Philadelphia and Rochester, according to ABC News. The real embarrassment kicked in, Aaron said, when he learned that one of his seats belonged to another passenger, forcing him to find another flight.

“I just grabbed my bag and just got off as quick as possible because it was embarrassing.”

Quinton says he’s now more determined than ever to lose weight and adopt a lifestyle of healthier living.
