Farrah Fawcett Given Last Rites

The friends and family of former Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett are preparing to say their final goodbyes to the actress as she clings to life after a three-year battle with anal cancer.
According to a scoop from TV newsmagazine Extra, a priest was summoned to Fawcett’s bedside in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday to read the devout Catholic her last rites.
She recently learned the disease had spread to her liver and was no longer treatable with chemotherapy.
The 62-year-old actress’ longtime partner, actor Ryan O’Neal, has been trying to secure a temporary jail release for the couple’s 24-year-old son Redmond – who is serving time in a rehab jail on drugs charges – so he can join family and friends at his mother’s bedside.
