Nearly 9 million viewers tuned in for a documentary detaling Farrah Fawcett’ battle against cancer in wrenching detail.

Farrah’s Story is a video diary of the former Charlie’s Angels star’s treatment and hopes for recovery from anal cancer. The film was NBC’s most-watched program in its Friday night time slot in more than a year, according to preliminary ratings released by NBC Saturday.

Farrah Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed with the disease in 2006 — it has since spread to her liver.

Sad story. I didn’t get to see the film, but thanks to the internet I can see it later.

The most touching story that I have ever saw. My heart truely goes out to her and her family. My mother died of cancer and it really messed me up. But through her story I was able to identify and become more knowlegeble. My prayers are with Farrah.

I was never a big fan of her. I did watch her movies and thought she was a good actress. I have alot of respect and admiration for her after watching this documentary. She is brave beyond a doubt. I feel so bad for her having to go through what she has. She is an amazing person. I wish her all the best.
Farrah, thank you for allowing us to see how courageous you are.
