Did American Idol alum Fantasia Barrino break up someone’s marriage?
It sure sounds like it — and the guilt may have sent the “Truth Is” hitmaker to the hospital overnight.
Barrino was hospitalized in her home state of North Carolina on Monday after an overdose of sleeping pills and painkillers. The singer was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville in Charlotte at about 8:55 PM on Monday night after feeling “overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention” surrounding her relationship with a married man.
The VH1 reality star made headlines last week when she was named in court documents in the separation of Paula and Antwuan Cook, a Charlotte cellphone salesman romantically-linked to Barrino. Paula claimed that the singer made multiple sex tapes with her husband and harassed her by phone after helping to break up her marriage.
The statement continues: “Fantasia read Mrs. Cook’s Complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday. She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook’s complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know. Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused. Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention. Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid,” the rep added.
“Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon. Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured.”

I feel the Cook’s relationship was already half dead(meaning over), Fantasia had nothing to do with that. If he lied to Fantasia just for a minute of fame, it shouldn’t be Tasia’s fault, blame the man. Or maybe it was a set up from the start, which he may have played a part in, knowly knowing the law in North Carolina. Fantasia keep your head up we all still love you.
