Fantasia: “Danny Gokey Will Win American Idol 8″
Fantasia Barrino knows a thing or two about the talent it takes to win the American Idol crown, and the former Idol champ is revealing which singer that she thinks will win it all this season.
In an interview with The Associated Press this week, the season-three winner says she expects 28-year-old widower Danny Gokey to claim the title of in this year’s competition.
Fantasia says she loves singers who can “take a song that’s not theirs, but make it their own” and Danny moves her each time he sings. So much so, that the Grammy-nominated star votes for him regularly.
On Tuesday, the Milwaukee native took Idol fans back to 1983 with a performance of Michael Jackson’s 1983 hit “PYT.” Danny’s wife Sophia died of a congenital heart defect seven months before he made the final 13.

I think she’s wrong-the only one I can see claiming the title is Adam. I do believe that Danny could make it to the finale though. Not only is Adam more popular, he’s by far a better singer. I think he tailors his songs so much better than Danny. I think Danny IS talented, but I wouldn’t say that he would be my second choice for the crown. Only because I’m one of those people who picks their one favorite and follows them through till the end-or until they get kicked off….hopefully not the second one….eh heh heh.

Fantasia is the second best thing that has come out of Idol. The first best thing out of 8 years of Idol is Adam Lambert. We live in Australia and follow Idol closely this year for Adam. When someone has the X factor that makes you sit a whole hour of Ryan Seacrest and Kara just to ear him sing for two minutes, this is one special guy. Seriously though, Adam is bigger than Idol and can be one of the legends of music worldwide.
